Professor Maren & The Aqueous Stones

Professor Kaia Maren was the world's leading Oceanographer and Climate Expert until one day she suddenly disappeared from public events. On a quest for the Silver Bullet to end climate change, she steps into the magical side of the world and ends up offending powerful corporations.

You play as an Ocean Spirit imbued within a magical "Aqueous Stone" tasked with saving the world from a rapidly approaching climate disaster. However, due the unexpected presence of Leaded Gasoline back in the day, you have been prevented from acting until now.

Professor Maren has discovered your stone and has understood that humanity's hope to avert climate catastrophe lies in uniting your stone with its counterparts scattered across the globe to amplify your power. As she sails from stone to stone, you must use your Ocean Spirit powers to defend her from the legions of hired goons sent to seize the stones and their potent power.

You have four primary abilities, each of which costs Ocean Power to use. Ocean power is only regenerated at the start of each level, so you must conserve energy and plan ahead in your responses to enemy advances. Your abilities are:

Wave Agitation: By dragging on the ocean, you can induce waves that will wash away enemy ships in your path.

Waterspout: You can place a waterspout that will wander and chase nearby enemy ships, sinking them for good.

Whirlpool: You can place a large whirlpool that sucks in nearby enemy ships. Be warned that this does no damage, only redirects movement.

Hurricane: You can place an expensive and giant hurricane that will tear asunder all enemies in its path.

As the holder of the Aqueous Stones, Maren's ship are immune from all ocean-related attacks you raise.

Controls are WASD or Arrow Keys, with Left Clicking or Touchscreen to select/place tools.  You can zoom in or out with the scroll wheel. Press escape to move to the next dialogue box.
